It is both my honor and privilege to serve on your behalf as one of five Judges in the Cobb County State Court, Traffic Division, and I look forward to continuing my service, with your support.
In many instances, when a litigant appears before me, that is the only interaction that he or she has ever had with the judicial system. Not only do I strive to create a courteous environment, but I give every citizen the opportunity to be seen and heard, and to have their case handled efficiently, without undue delay, and always with an eye towards justice.
My family and I have called Cobb County our home since 2006. The citizens who appear before me are my neighbors, colleagues and fellow Cobb County residents. In the same year that I became a Cobb County citizen, I was sworn into the State Bar of Georgia, after having received both my bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN). I practiced with a large firm in metro Atlanta for almost three years after graduating from law school, and during my time there, I was repeatedly recognized for my service to the community. And it was that desire to serve that led me to enter public service, first representing indigent clients in criminal cases, and then defending public safety officials against state and federal civil law claims.
I have dedicated my entire legal career to serving others in the administration of justice. Each and every arraignment, hearing and trial over which I preside reminds me that as a public servant, service to my community and my fellow man (and woman) will always be my highest calling. Even off the bench, I continue to serve by remaining active in several local Bar associations and by serving in various capacities through my involvement in both civic and community organizations. However, the most important role that I will ever hold is as wife to my husband of fifteen (15) years and mother to my three (3) beautiful children.
I am dedicated, experienced, and fair. And I greatly appreciate your support.
For all Cobb County voters, I will not take your vote for granted, and I appreciate the confidence you have placed in me.
Please do not hesitate to contact me by clicking here if you ever have any questions on how you may support, if you would like for me to speak at one of your community events or if you have any suggestions on how the State Court of Cobb County can better serve you.
With gratitude, I am,
Judge Ashley Palmer
